The Explanation of FPC Connectors

2025-08-06 19:10:58

FPC connectors, short for Flexible Printed Circuit connectors, are used to connect flexible printed circuit boards in electronic devices. Its specifications are mainly divided into three types of pitch: 0.5mm, 1.0mm, and 1.25mm, with styles including flip type, slide type, top contact type, bottom contact type, vertical type, double-sided contact, single-sided contact, and horizontal type. These connectors, typically made of metal or plastic, feature a series of conductive pins or sockets for inserting and connecting the conductive pads of flexible circuit boards. They offer high reliability and flexibility, suitable for applications requiring frequent folding or bending, such as mobile devices, smartwatches, camera modules, etc. FPC connectors usually have low insertion force and low contact resistance to ensure stable electrical connections. They can also provide shielding and waterproofing capabilities to protect electronic devices from external environmental interference.

The core advantages of FPC sockets are reflected in:

1. Reduce space occupation through high-density wiring;

2. Lightweight and ultra-thin design enhance device portability;

3. Excellent bending performance supports multiple bending needs of flexible circuit boards
